A few weeks ago, we blogged about our wonderful team from the Boston Startup School. On Monday night, Julia and I got to meet the rest of the BSS crew by attending a “speed networking” event. The goal was to teach interested BSS students about life at Promoboxx and the ins and outs of working at a startup. It was a great opportunity for the students to not only network and meet potential new employers, but it was also great for us to scout out the next great Promoboxx hire!
We heard there were a lot of other great questions. Here is a recap of some of those:
Q: What is your favorite part about working at Promoboxx?
A: Besides the great product we are creating, definitely the people!
Q: What is your company culture like?
A: We are a hardworking, overachieving group, however at the end of the day we want to have fun in everything we do. We all enjoy hanging out with each other in and outside of work. Our group motto: Work Hard, Play Hard.
Q: What are the qualifications for Promoboxx’s next hire?
A: There are different needs for every group. That being said, there are a few things we are looking for when adding any new member to the Promoboxx family: hard work, determination, dedication, desire to be at Promoboxx, eagerness, and someone that adds to our corporate culture and is great to work with!
Based on the various conversations, it’s interesting to note that, alongside the product created, workplace culture is becoming increasingly importance to new hires. Candidates want to find a place they can call “home” and both Julia and I are happy to say that Promoboxx is our “home away from home.”
