Meet Promoboxx’s new Senior Enterprise Sales Representative, Chris Unger! We are so excited to welcome Chris to our team, and to get to know him better, we asked him a few questions. Check out his answers below!
I grew up in Lexington, MA and attended Northeastern University, graduating with a BS in Business Management. I went to work for my family’s manufacturer rep business just out of college. I eventually joined a startup company called Salsify in the Downtown area. After a great year at Salsify, I was invited in to meet the Promoboxx team, and the rest is history.
After meeting with the team here and hearing about the many amazing brands Promoboxx is already working with, I thought it would be an exciting opportunity to join the team.
Sports Etc. in Arlington. I grew up playing hockey, and this was far and away the best hockey store in the Boston area. I remember getting my skates sharpened and buying equipment there all throughout my childhood. This is the type of local store that remembers your name and is quick to ask you how your hockey season is going. I even remember their Lab named Wafer, who would always be wandering around the store greeting customers. The business is still there in Arlington Heights and, from what I have heard, is still thriving.
I just finished a book called Customer Centric Selling, which was great. I also love all of Howie Carr’s books as well.
I love it when a brand listens to feedback from their customers and introduces product changes accordingly. Customers can really be a brand’s best ambassadors, so it’s great when brands actually listen to the recommendations they’re making.
The Patriots Day Red Sox game every year. It’s by far my favorite day of the year in the city.
I love playing softball and hockey. I also really enjoy BBQ-ing, too (when the weather calls for it).
