Meet Promoboxx’s new Enterprise Sales Director, Meredith Nelson! We are so excited to welcome Meredith to our team, and to get to know her better, we asked her a few questions. Check out her answers below!
I grew up on the South Shore in MA and am pretty positive I’ll end up back there some day when it’s time to settle down. I graduated from Williams College, a small liberal arts school in Western MA with a degree in Theatre.
I started my sales career after deciding that I couldn’t be a starving actress living in the Big Apple and have been enjoying the Boston startup world ever since. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for the team at Brightcove — the best place I could have started my career with some of the most profound sales professionals I’ve ever met.
The leadership team. The product. The brands. The retailers. The energy. The mission. All of that is, what I like to call, the magic in the “boxx.” 🙂
A clothing store called LIT Boutique. They have two stores in Boston — one on Newbury Street and one on Hanover Street in the North End (my old hood!). They know me by name, size, and personal style. I’ve stopped in right before leaving for vacation (literally with a mere two hours to spare), told them my destination, the occasion, and had them dress me from head to toe without trying a single item on. They’re the best!
Wake up and smile.
Uniqueness and passion. I am far more attracted to a brand that has one special thing that separates it from the competition. Brands that exude passion tend to stick around forever, continually innovating and delivering greatness.
Boating on Boston Harbor. We are lucky enough to have a boat that we’ve docked at The Barking Crab the last couple of summers, and there’s really nothing better than spending a hot summer evening out on the water overlooking our gorgeous city.
Only my closest friends know this somewhat odd and embarrassing fact… I have a serious love for SpaghettiOs (with Meatballs, of course). Always have, always will.
I was that kid growing up who wasn’t fed junk food, so my friend’s parents could expect me to come over and clean out their snack drawers and pantries. This would include ingesting about three cans of SpaghettiOs if they were available. Now I make sure my cabinets are always stocked for those days when I just need comfort food.
