The Promoboxx team only continues to grow! Meet our new Enterprise Sales Representative, Ryan Mackin. We are so excited to welcome Ryan to our team, and to get to know him better, we asked him a few questions. Check out the answers below!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Selling and Sales Management. After graduation, I came back East and started my career at NetProspex, where I would spend the next three and a half years learning from some of the most intelligent and fun people I have ever been around. I’m from a little town called Wilbraham in Western Mass and still love to get back home when I can.
What made you want to join the Promoboxx team?
From the second I walked in the door at Promoboxx, I felt comfortable with the team, the vision, and the product. The impressive customer base for such a small team also attracted me, as I knew there had to be something special going on between these walls.
What’s your favorite independent business in Boston?
Brewer’s Fork in Charlestown. I have lived in Charlestown since moving to Boston and love being able to walk in and have them know me by name. If you like specialty wood-fired pizza and a delicious, always rotating beer selection, make a stop at the Fork… you won’t regret it!
Best advice you’ve ever been given?
“The harder you work, the luckier you get.”
Best book you’ve ever read?
Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People — I love that it was initially published in 1936 and the principles still stand true 80 years later.
What do you admire most in a brand?
When they are customer-centric. The most successful brands put the needs, pains, and feedback of their customers first, adapting accordingly. As a consumer, when you feel this connection, it creates a sense of brand loyalty that keeps you coming back for more.
Do you have any hobbies?
Weather dependent, golfing and snowboarding are my favorite things to do on the weekends. Without draining the bank account, hiking or spending quality time with my friends and family will do the trick, too!
