Promoboxx Announces “Fee-Free” Digital Ads for Local Retailers

In celebration of Small Business Saturday, Promoboxx is excited to announce that we will be further supporting small businesses by waiving management fees for digital ads placed by local retailers (normally 10%) on the Promoboxx platform from November 21-26.

Small Business Saturday: Creating Greater Awareness for Local Retailers

Small Business Saturday has a special significance to us. It was first observed in Roslindale Village, MA— just south of our HQ in Boston. More importantly, though, it underscores the importance of supporting the small, unique brick-and-mortar stores that make our local communities vibrant.

Last year, Forbes proclaimed Small Business Saturday as “The Most Important Day To Shop This Holiday Season,” with over 95 Million consumers shopping small to the tune of $16.2 Billion. There is a massive opportunity for retailers here, and we want to help them take advantage of it.

Helping Local Retailers Drive Opportunity with “Fee-Free” Digital Ads

Promoboxx Local Ads extends brands’ sophisticated creative, targeting, and media mix to their local retailers, attracting nearby customers on mobile devices across Facebook, Instagram, mobile display, ultimately driving them in store to make a purchase.

Armed with professional content from the brands they sell, thousands of local retailers (typically time-strapped business owners without marketing expertise) are able to contribute their own advertising dollars towards digital ads with this content.

To show our support for local retailers during Small Business Saturday and the upcoming holiday shopping season, we are entirely waiving our 10% management fee from November 21-26.

The Promoboxx Difference: Providing 100% Transparency

Currently, we collect a transparent management fee for retailer-funded local ads that is 10% of the retailer’s ad spend, covering credit card processing as well as ads technology and optimization efforts.

Far too often, small businesses are being taken advantage of by their advertising partners, whether via a lack of clarity, high markups, or undisclosed ad management fees. This has to stop.

We at Promoboxx believe in retailers and will do what we can fight for their success. To support this, we have incorporated 100% Transparent Pricing messaging throughout our platform. In other words, we always clearly break out ad spend separately from technology fees. This means that retailers know exactly how much of their spend goes towards high-quality advertising for every transaction.transparent_emblem_blog_500

We also know that digital and mobile advertising can sometimes feel like a confusing black hole to retailers. To provide them with greater clarity, our Local Ads product offers customized ad previews by channel, geographic and audience targeting information, and consumer reach estimates dependent on budget amount.

This approach builds trust, as retailers know upfront exactly what they’re getting each time they run Local Ads on Promoboxx. The proof? More than 60% of retailers are repeat customers, funding Local Ads multiple times.

Since our founding, Promoboxx has always supported small business and advocated for making digital marketing simple and achievable for local business owners. Waiving ad fees in celebration of Small Business Saturday is one way we can draw more attention to this important issue and let local retailers across the nation know that we have their backs.
