We keep talking about all of the new platform improvements and features that Promoboxx has added, so we figured we should also introduce you to the people who are actually behind the technology.

Each week we are introducing a new Promoboxx team member, and this is your lucky week! Meet Don Cote, developer extraordinaire:

Q. Tell us about yourself in a tweet (140 characters or less)

A. I live in Ashland MA, w/ wife Erin & daughters Olivia & Marcella, love technology, liverpool football club, & well executed television dramas.

Q. If you could be a super hero, who would you be and why?

A. I can’t see myself in a cape and tights, so that cuts down the options a bit. Maybe part Iron Man, part Hancock?

Q. We know your a beer lover, so what’s your favorite beer that you recommend we try?

A. Thanks for asking! My favorite craft beer at the moment, which changes every 3 or 4 months, is a local one from Framingham – Jack’s Abby HopponiousĀ Union. It’s an India Pale Lager, combining the crispness of a lager with the hoppy bitterness of an IPA. In terms of an all time favorite, I think Heady Topper from the Alchemist in Waterbury, VT just edges out Hopslam from Bell’s in Kalamazoo, MI. I like hops!

Q. Why did you become a developer?

A. I’ve always liked numbers and statistics and was planning on going to school for finance, but after my first co-op at Northeastern, it became pretty clear to me that I wasn’t a shirt and tie type of guy. The internet was just taking off at the time and it seemed like an exciting place to be. I sold my car and bought a 180 MHZ Gateway 2000 PC and started building websites. And there’s no other field that I’d rather be in. It’s challenging and always changing, and I love the idea of creating something out of nothing.

Q. What is your favorite part about working at Promoboxx?

A. I know it sounds cliche, but I have to say my favorite part is working day to day with my fellow Promoboxers. The entire group is super talented and fun to be around, and I feel lucky to be a part of it.
